U.S. dollar trade stabilised Sunday to below 19 to Egyptian pound for buying and selling during interbank dealings in Egypt.
The country’s central bank abandoned earlier in November the pound’s peg of 8.8 to the dollar in an effort to attract inflows of capital and close down a booming black market in dollars.
The table below demonstrates the selling and buying prices of U.S. dollar against the Egyptian pound in 22 banks during Sunday’s interbank dealings in Egypt, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad.
