Donald Trump says goodbye to the White House
U.S. President Donald Trump has left on Wednesday the White House for the final time in his tumultuous presidency. The 45th President will skip the inauguration of his successor Joe Biden, choosing instead to fly to Florida, via Maryland for a farewell event.
It comes as aides announced that President-elect Biden is set to sign 17 executive actions just hours after he is sworn in today, undoing a raft of Trump’s policies.
In first-day moves, Biden will end Trump’s much-assailed ban on visitors from several majority-Muslim countries and suspend construction of the wall that Trump ordered on the U.S.-Mexico border to stem illegal immigration, as well as return the US to both the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Paris Climate Accords.
