U.S. stocks opened sharply higher on Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumping 650 points, despite after the release of record-breaking initial jobless claims driven by the coronavirus pandemic.
Dow jumped by more than 3 percent, while, the S&P 500 added nearly 3 percent.
The Nasdaq Composite gained 2.6 percent.
These opening jumps put the major averages on track for a three-day winning streak.
