E-finance mechanises 5.2mn cards for public employees’ salaries

E-finance, the first and largest electronic payment and collection gateway in Egypt, has finished mechanising 5.2 million cards for public employees’ salaries, Ibrahim Sarhan – chairman- told Amwal Al Ghad Wednesday.

He stated that there are around 1.5 million employees in the Upper Egypt region facing difficulties to have their cards owing to the weak presence of banks there.

Sarhan noted that those employees will be able to get their salaries through ATMs after finishing developing post branches in Upper Egypt region at the end of June 2016.

Egypt Post Authority is set to finish upgrading 412 post offices with the cost of 150 million pounds during June 2016.
