EBRD supports Egypt’s competition protection agency
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is actively assisting the Egyptian Competition Authority in enhancing its capabilities, said Khaled Hamza, Director of the EBRD’s Egypt Office.
He stated that this technical support aims to strengthen the agency’s ability to enforce neutrality, enhance its capacities, and effectively monitor markets.
The announcement was made during the second session of the inaugural annual conference of the Egyptian Competition Agency, which took place in Cairo on Sunday. The session focused on discussing the positive impact of enforcing provisions outlined in the Competition Law on national markets and economies.
