ECB’s Kazimir hints at two more rate cuts this year
European Central Bank (ECB) policymaker Peter Kazimir indicated on Monday that the bank may consider two additional interest rate cuts by the end of the year, provided economic data supports such measures.
In a blog post, the Slovak governor noted that “the doors remain open to additional easing should the environment warrant and justify such action.”
While financial markets are anticipating these rate cuts, Kazimir cautioned that this expectation should not be considered a definitive or baseline scenario. The ECB continues to monitor economic conditions closely to determine future policy adjustments.
