The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), led by Chairman Ali El Ghamrawy, held a meeting to discuss updates to registration policies of human pharmaceuticals and coordination with the Pharmaceutical Division of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), the Egyptian Cabinet reported on Wednesday.
The meeting addressed key issues, including strategies to ensure a steady supply of pharmaceutical products to the local market while adhering to regulatory and technical standards.
Discussions also covered enhancing cooperation to balance sustainable development goals with ensuring high-quality, accessible medicines for citizens.
Participants emphasised the importance of adopting flexible, modern mechanisms aligned with international standards to improve market transparency and stabilise pharmaceutical supply chains.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to continued coordination to keep pace with global developments and strengthen regulatory and pharmaceutical policies for the benefit of the healthcare sector.
