Egypt studies participation in Uganda Road, Housing Projects

The Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building Contractors (EFCBC) has received official letters from Uganda offering Egyptian firms to carry out a bunch of road and housing projects, an EFCBC senior source said Thursday.

The projects Uganda has offered are in sectors of road, housing, and infrastructure, the source added.

These projects represent a golden opportunity to the Egyptian contracting companies to boost their presence in the Ugandan market, the source said. Therefore, the Federation is currently studying the Ugandan offers.

The source noted that a delegation encompassing EFCBC’s board members is set to visit Uganda to review the projects available in Uganda as well as studying cooperation with contracting firms working there.
