EFSA Approved 7 Non-Life Insurance Policies In August
The Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) approved seven non-life insurance policies in August, compared to nine insurance policies in July, according to a report released by EFSA.
The regulator approved 30 group life insurance policies in August, compared to 73 group life insurance policies in July. No individual life insurance policy was approved in August, and an individual insurance policy was approved in July.
The examination authority of insurance policies conducted office examination at 10 insurance companies in August and 11 insurance companies in July, through reviewing the financial positions, final results and technical rates and indications of insurance companies.
The examination authority conducted field examination at 4 insurance companies in August and 8 insurance companies in July. No sudden field examination was conducted in July and August.
The number of registered insurance companies and cooperative insurance societies does not change in August as they are still 29. The number of insurance pools does not change as they registered 4 ones. In addition, the number of government insurance funds registered 4 ones.
