EFSA: Egypt’s leasing contracts surge 140% in ten months
Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) revealed that leasing companies have signed 291 contracts worth 5.31 billion Egyptian pounds ($296.3 million) by the end of November 2018, around 140 percent up from last year.
The leasing contracts signed last year registered 131 contracts worth 2.211 billion Egyptian pounds.
According to EFSA report, the county’s real estate sector led the leasing contracts activity recording 4.150 billion pounds compared to 1.8 billion in November 2017.
While machines and heavy equipment sector came second recording 196.3 million by the end of November 2018, in comparison to 58.6 million .
Moreover, heavy trucks sector obtained contracts of 483.5 million pounds, comparable to 51.7 million pounds in the same period last year.
