EGP closes higher vs USD on Thursday

The Egyptian pound (EGP) appreciated against the US dollar (USD) on Thursday, August 28, 2025, according to data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The CBE quoted the average buying rate at EGP 48.5454 and the selling rate at EGP 48.6454, compared with Wednesday’s rates of EGP 48.5963 for buying and EGP 48.6963 for selling.
