The Chinese products imported by the Egyptian market amounted to EGP 23 billion in 2012, from January to August.
The engineering and electronic commodities, such as electronic devices, cars, and machines, topped these commodities, according to sources in the foreign trade sector to Amwal Al Ghad, as the imports of the Egyptian market reached EGP 10 billion during this period.
The chemical products and fertilizers ranked second among these products with EGP 3.4 billion, while the textile products reached Egp 2.6 billion, and the building materials amounted to EGP 2.5 billion.
Other products such like the ready-made garments reached EGP 1.5 billion, EGP 375 million furnishings, EGP 645 million furniture, EGP 588 million crops, EGP 586 food products, EGP 216 million medical industries and EGP 525 million leather products and shoes.
