EGX 30 Ends Above 4740 Pts, TMG 1.57% Up; Monday

During Monday closing session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has rebounded and posted gains of EGP 94 million as the capital market has reach EGP 336.401  billion.

The main index, EGX30 went up 0.46% to close at 4740.53 p.  EGX20 inched higher 0.32% to end at 5380.1 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 slumped 0.11% to finish at 417.52 p.  Price index EGX100 edged up 0.13% to conclude at 720.59 p.

Traded volume reached 125.644 million securities worth EGP 292.329 million, exchanged through 17.062 transactions.

This was after trading in 171 listed securities; 82 declined 66 advanced while 23 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians and Arabs  were net buyers seizing 69.55% and 6.59% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 34.625 million and EGP 3.630 million excluding the deals.

On the other hand, the non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing  23.85% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 38.255 million excluding the deals.

Leading Shares:

EGX’s leading shares witnessed collective upwards except for the shares owned by Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) which dived 2.03% to finish at EGP 1.45, , heading for the lowest close in almost three weeks. The Cairo-based company was rated hold in new coverage at Pharos Holding for Financial Investments, which cited the high risk of the company’s North Korean asset and lack of information about its strategy.

Shareholders on record today will be eligible for a 1.05 pound per share dividend on July 19.

 

Additionally, the shares of Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE.CA) remained with no change to end at EGP 3.14.

Talaat Moustafa Group:

The shares of Talaat Moustafa Group (TMGH.CA) climbed 1.57% to end at EGP 3.89.

Commercial International Bank:

The shares owned by Commercial International Bank- Egypt (CIB) (COMI.CA) went up 1.28% to end at EGP 28.47. Egypt’s Finance Ministry said it plans to change its debt issuance strategy to focus on longer-maturity securities. Local banks have been the biggest buyers of the debt since the start of last year’s revolution.

EFG-Hermes Holding:

The shares of EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO.CA) inched higher 0.94% to close at EGP 10.76.

Orascom Construction Industries:

The shares of Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC.CA) rose by 0.36% to close at EGP 250.70.
