During the closing session of Tuesday, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has extended its midday gains to eventually reach EGP 2.56 billion as the capital market has amounted to EGP 350.082 billion.
The indices closed in green.
The main index, EGX30 inched higher by 0.81% to end at 5016.64 p. EGX20 edged up by 0.68% to close at 5735.77 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 rose by 0.89% to conclude at 440.1 pts. Price index EGX100 pushed up by 1% to finish at 741.79 p.
Traded volume reached 43.127 million securities worth EGP 166.962 million, exchanged 11.221 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 170 listed securities; 29 declined, 92 advanced; while 49 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and Arabs’ closing buying deals have backed EGX’s gains as they were net buyers seizing 66.98% and 3.71% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 76.000 million and EGP 3.422 million excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 29.31% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 79.423 million excluding the deals.
