During Sunday’s midday session, the Egyptian Exchange has posted gains of EGP 1.5 billion backed by foreign buyers. The capital market has amounted to EGP 384.770 billion, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 12:58 .m. Cairo time (10:58 GMT).
The EGX indices were in green during midday session.
The main index, EGX30 inched up by 0.47% to 5729.83 p. EGX20 rose by 0.58% to 6685.58 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged up by 0.46% to 485.04 p. Price index EGX100 hiked by 0.51% to 815.22 p.
This was after trading in 140 listed securities; 23 declined, 89 advanced; while 28 keeping their previous levels.
During Sunday’s midday session, the trading volume has reached 67.696 million securities worth EGP 167.965 million, exchanged 9.126 thousand transactions.
The EGX’s midday gains were backed by the non-Arab foreigners and Arabs’ buying transactions as they were net buyers seizing 8.25% and 16.13% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 4.928 million and EGP 7.014 million excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers seizing 75.62% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 11.942 million excluding the deals.
