During Wednesday opening session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted early gains of EGP 294 million as the capital market has amounted to EGP 358.044 billion, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 10:48 a.m. Cairo time (08:48 GMT).
Egyptian Exchange has halted its trading sessions for two days on Eid El-Fitr vacation; EGX has resumed trading Tuesday.
The main index, EGX30 inched higher 0.29% to hit 5194.02 p. EGX20 rose by 0.61% to reach 6055.51 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 remained with no change at 456.11 p. Price index EGX100 increased by 0.03% to hit 787.19 p.
Traded volume reached 245.038 securities worth EGP 880.262, exchanged 88 transactions.
This was after trading in 32 listed securities; 18 declined 9 advanced while 5 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers seizing 87.96% and 8.95% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 31.941 thousand and EGP 7.864 thousand excluding the deals.
On the other hand, Arabs were net sellers seizing 3.09% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 39.805 thousand excluding the deals.
Leading Shares:
EGX’s leading shares witnessed collective downwards except for the shares of EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO.CA) which jumped by 9.94% to hit EGP 12.61 and of Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) which climbed by 8.62% to reach EGP 0.63.
Talaat Moustafa Group:
The shares of Talaat Moustafa Group (TMGH.CA) tumbled by 1.58% to hit EGP 4.35.
Orascom Telecom Holding:
Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE.CA) sank by 0.1.38% to reach EGP 3.58.
Commercial International Bank:
The shares of Commercial International Bank- Egypt (CIB) (COMI.CA) slumped by 1.08% to hit EGP 28.50.
Orascom Construction Industries:
Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC.CA) fell by 0.01% to hit EGP 274.00.
Citadel Capital:
Shares owned by Citadel Capital (CCAP.CA) maintained Thursday’s levels at EGP 3.12.
