During Wednesday midday session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted gains of around EGP 6.8 billion as the capital market has amounted to EGP 356.910 billion, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 01:28 p.m. Cairo time (11:28 GMT).
The EGX indices were in green during midday session.
The main index, EGX30 climbed by 2.01% to 5117.4 p. EGX20 soared by 2.39% to 5873 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 surged by 2.64% to 451.71 p. Price index EGX100 went up by 2.46% to 760.03 p.
This was after trading in 161 listed securities; 1 declined, 137 advanced; while 23 keeping their previous levels.
The non-Arab foreigners and Arabs’ midday buying deals have backed EGX’s rise as they were net buyers seizing 17.8% and 7.25% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 8.937 million and EGP 15.748 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers seizing 74.96% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 24.685 million excluding the deals.
