EGX briefing on Feb 18

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Tuesday.

  • The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.50 per cent, to 30,587.81 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33 added 0.75 per cent to 3,190.72 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.55 per cent, to 8,591.38 points.
  • The index, EGX100 index soared by 0.61 per cent, to 11,803 points.

The total market capitalisation reached 2,253,085,770,239 Egyptian pounds.

Egyptians were net buyers with 14,469,017,199 Egyptian pounds. Meanwhile, Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 812,562,782 Egyptian pounds, and 13,656,454,417 Egyptian pounds, respectively.
