Dr. Mohamed Omran, the chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), has assigned Abdel Maksoud Ibrahim to be the new head of the Listed Firms Sector by the beginning of next September succeeding Wafaa Abou Al-Nasr. Abou Al-Nasr’s term in office is supposed to be till the end of this August.
Meanwhile, Abou Al-Nasr said working as the head of the Listed Firms Sector has made her gain considerable experience. She also asserted that the EGX does enjoy prominent capabilities and cadres which would contribute to the Egyptian bourse’s success.
Moreover, Omran has expressed his deep gratitude to Abou Al-Nasr for her forty-year contribution to the EGX.
Worth mentioning, Abou Al-Nasr started working in the EGX in November 1974. She served as EGX chairman adviser for listing firms in August 2004 till she eventually becomes the head of Listed Firms Sector in September 2009.
For Abdel Maksoud, he started working in the EGX in September 1993 serving a number of prominent posts in the EGX till he was assigned the Head of the Listed Firms Sector.
