Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 1.37 per cent, to 40,501.28 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 1.31 per cent to 4,276.5 points.
- The index EGX35-LV fell by 1.02 per cent to 4,457.21 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, sank by 1.18 per cent, to 12,092.04 points.
- The EGX100 index slipped by 1.28 per cent, to 16,096.38 points.
The total market cap reached 2,872,788,593,352 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 6,558,905,235 pounds, and 4,995,129,901 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 11,554,035,136 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of October Pharma went up by 10.15 per cent to 209.220 pounds a share.
- The shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment rose by 8.82 per cent to close at 2.590 pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Real Estate Group jumped by 8.57 per cent, closing at 1.520 pounds a share.
To losers
- The shares of Macro Group Pharmaceuticals -Macro Capital dropped by 7.71 per cent to 0.838 pounds at closing.
- The shares of General Company For Land Reclamation,Development & Reconstru fell by 7.71 per cent to close at 200.450 pounds a share.
- The shares of Sues Canal Company For Technology Settling sank by 5.88 per cent, closing at 262.470 pounds a share.
