Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, fell by 0.59 per cent to 46,452.14 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, advanced by 0.38 per cent, to 4,968.86 points.
- The EGX35-LV index climbed by 0.39 per cent to 5,114.85 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70, rose by 1.02 per cent to 12,092.84 points.
- The EGX100 index jumped by 0.66 per cent to 17,052.96 points.
The total market cap reached 3,176,518,422,746 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with a total of 18,224,431,693 Egyptian pounds and 134,858,564 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 18,359,290,257 Egyptian pounds.

- The shares of Egypt Aluminum went up by 7.55 per cent to 271.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Pharmaceuticals climbed by 6.87 per cent to 835.100 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Cairo Poultry rose by 6.78 per cent to 31.500 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of U Consumer Finance dropped by 6.42 per cent to 10.200 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Rakta Paper Manufacturing sank by 5.00 per cent to 20.900 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Chemical Industries (Kima) went down by 4.92 per cent to 12.550 Egyptian pounds a share.
