Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 4.10 per cent to 48,593.99 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, advanced by 4 per cent, to 5,209.7 points.
- The EGX35-LV index climbed by 1.66 per cent to 5,457.35 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70, rose by 1.32 per cent to 12,968.37 points.
- The EGX100 index jumped by 1.61 per cent to 18,143.52 points.
The total market cap reached 3,400,092,831,063 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, with total of 846,147,409 Egyptian pounds and 11,718,757,286 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 12,564,904,695 Egyptian pounds.

- The shares of Arab Co. for Asset Management And Development went up by 10.53 per cent to 1.890 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Sues Canal Company For Technology Settling climbed by 9.67 per cent to 372.220 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Orascom Construction PLC rose by 8.70 per cent to 567.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Valmore Holding-EGP dropped by 5.48 per cent to 32.610 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Cairo Educational Services sank by 5.31 per cent to 59.700 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals – SIDPEC went down by 5.27 per cent to 16.900 Egyptian pounds a share.
