Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Monday.
The main index, EGX30 went up by 1.06 per cent, to 30,273.06 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 jumped 0.87 to 3,132.9 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 soared by 0.23 per cent, to 7,345.94 points.
The index, EGX100 index climbed by 0.49 per cent, to 10,450.12 points.
The total market cap reached 2,159,952,696,064 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 525,016,224 Egyptian pounds, and 19,284,599 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Non-Arab Foreigners were sellers with 544,300,822 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Monday
- Memphis Pharmaceuticals (MPCI.CA) shares rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 59.530 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Glaxo Smith Kline (BIOC.CA) shares climbed by 16.13 per cent, to trade at the price of 45.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Misr Cement (Qena) (MCQE.CA) shares jumped by 9.66 per cent, to the purchasing price of 25.660 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Monday
- Raya Holding For Financial Investments (RAYA.CA) shares fell by 8.70 per cent, to close at 2.940 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Samad Misr -EGYFERT (SMFR.CA) shares declined by 5.62 per cent, to close at 57.100 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Natural Gas & Mining Project (Egypt Gas) (EGAS.CA) shares dropped by 5.62 per cent, to close at the price of 45.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
