Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Tuesday.
The main index, EGX30 went up by 1.03 per cent, to 30,584.24 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 1.70 per cent to 3,186.14 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 jumped by 3.04 per cent, to 7,569.6 points.
The index, EGX100 index climbed by 2.52 per cent, to 10,713.28 points.
The total market cap reached 2,182,245,537,683 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with 4,124,001,785 Egyptian pounds, and 10,971,516,309 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, The Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 15,095,518,094 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Tuesday
- Alexandria New Medical Center (AMES.CA) shares climbed by 20.00 per cent, to close at 22.680 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment (ANFI.CA) shares jumped by 19.97 per cent, to close at 26.130 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Osool ESB Securities Brokerage (EBSC.CA) shares surged by 19.92 per cent, to close at the price of 0.572 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Tuesday
- Misr Duty Free Shops (MFSC.CA) shares declined by 10.64 per cent, to close at the price of 29.480 Egyptian pounds a share.
- South Cairo & Giza Mills & Bakeries (SCFM.CA) shares fell by 9.66 per cent, to trade at the price of 35.630 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Glaxo Smith Kline (BIOC.CA) shares dropped by 7.86 per cent, to the purchasing price of 42.200 Egyptian pounds a share.
