Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed green on Wednesday.
The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.87 per cent, to 27,500.56 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, climbed by 0.45 per cent, to 2,722.58 on launch day.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 soared by 0.51 per cent, to 6,175.21 points.
The index, EGX100 index rose by 0.77 per cent, to 8,958.59 points.
The total market cap reached 1,867,883,612,594 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 8,502,101,746 Egyptian pounds. Meanwhile, the Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with total of 6,826,202 Egyptian pounds, and 8,495,275,544, respectively.
Top gainers on Wednesday
- The shares of Memphis Pharmaceuticals (MPCI.CA) rose by 10.12 per cent, to close at the price of 83.880 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Rights Issue Of Sinai Cement -2 (SCEM_r2.CA) climbed by 9.14 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.382 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of MM Group For Industry And International Trade (MTIE.CA) jumped by 7.69 per cent, to the purchasing price of 8.400 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
- The shares of Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment (MENA.CA) fell by 3.21 per cent, to close at 1.600 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Naeem Holding (NAHO.CA)declined by 2.96 per cent, to close at 0.131 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of El Obour Real Estate Investment (OBRI.CA) dropped by 2.56 per cent, to close at the price of 6.080 Egyptian pounds a share.
