Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up 0.16 per cent to 50,376.15 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 rose 0.03 per cent to 5,246.33 points.
- The index EGX35-LV added 0.49 per cent to 5,159.65 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 increased 0.41 per cent to 12,935.37 points.
- The EGX100 index fell 0.31 per cent to 17,928.03 points.
The total market cap reached 3,298,878,123,861 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,558,139,696 pounds and 4,042,435,573 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Arabs were net sellers with 5,600,575,270 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Gourmet Egypt.Com Foods went up by 40.00 per cent to 9.660 pounds a share.
- The shares of International Company For Fertilizers & Chemicals rose by 10.99 per cent to close at 16.960 pounds a share.
- The shares of United Housing & Development jumped by 9.06 per cent, closing at 10.710 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Egypt for Poultry dropped by 9.83 per cent to 10.730 pounds a share.
- The shares of Cairo Poultry fell by 4.58 per cent to close at 27.300 pounds a share.
- The shares of Credit Agricole Egypt sank by 3.73 per cent, closing at 24.000 pounds a share.
