Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up by 1.59 per cent, to 50,490.2 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 surged by 0.98 per cent to 5,255.03 points.
- The index EGX35-LV roses by 0.78 per cent to 5,148.04 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 added 0.59 per cent, to 12,931.2 points.
- The EGX100 index fell by 0.62 per cent, to 17,929.64 points.
The total market cap reached 3,295,255,593,560 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,538,607,785 pounds and 3,107,527,616 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 4,646,135,401 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Ismailia Misr Poultry went up by 9.98 per cent to 14.990 pounds a share.
- The shares of Minapharm Pharmaceuticals rose by 9.52 per cent to close at 395.370 pounds a share.
- The shares of Cleopatra Hospital Company jumped by 9.35 per cent, closing at 12.630 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Egyptian Iron & Steel dropped by 4.74 per cent to 36.180 pounds a share.
- The shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment fell by 3.32 per cent to close at 2.330 pounds a share.
- The shares of Gourmet Egypt.Com Foods sank by 3.06 per cent, closing at 9.500 pounds a share.
