Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 2.64 per cent to 50,870.06 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, soared by 2.18 per cent to 5,329.6 points.
- The index EGX35-LV surged by 2.75 per cent to 5,247.71 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, jumped by 2.13 per cent, to 12,693.12 points.
- The EGX100 index climbed by 2.34 per cent, to 17,816.26 points.
The total market cap reached 3,324,006,826,105 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 22,842,308,077 Egyptian pounds and 112,476,953 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 22,954,785,031 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Monday
- The shares of Tenth Of Ramadan Pharmaceutical Industries&Diagnostic-Rameda rose by 9.50 per cent, to close at the price of 4.380 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Heliopolis Housing climbed by 9.48 per cent, closing at the price of 4.620 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Housing & Development Bank jumped by 8.77 per cent, to the purchasing price of 112.300 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Monday
- The shares of Rakta Paper Manufacturing fell by 4.92 per cent, to close at 22.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. For Securities&Bonds Brok. EAC declined by 3.13 per cent, to close at 3.090 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of ARAB POLVARA SPINNING & WEAVING CO. dropped by 2.15 per cent, to close at the price of 8.200 Egyptian pounds a share.
