EGX ends week in green on 27 Nov.

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Thursday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30 gained 1.27 per cent to 40,039.24 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33 surged 1.22 per cent to 4,211.12 points.
  • The index EGX35-LV advanced 0.84 per cent to 4,448.31 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70 added 0.67 per cent to 12,244.31 points.
  • The EGX100 index rose 0.74 per cent to 16,223.29 points.

The total market capitalisation reached 2,850,590,243,443 Egyptian pounds.

Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 480,362,456 pounds, and 391,602,379 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the  non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 871,964,834 pounds.

Top gainers

  1. Shares of Subscription Rights of Macro Group Pharmaceuticals – Macro soared 13.49 per cent to 0.631 pounds a share.
  2. Shares of A Capital Holding climbed 13.07 per cent to 9.600 pounds a share.
  3. Shares of Misr Beni Suef Cement jumped 8.36 per cent to 239.780 pounds a share.

To losers

  1. Shares of Credit Agricole Egypt plunged 4.11 per cent to 20.980 pounds a share.
  2. Shares of East Delta Flour Mills dived 3.89 per cent to 303.570 pounds a share.
  3. Shares of Egyptian Media Production City sank 3.60 per cent to 26.520 pounds a share.
