Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 2.88 per cent, to 48,978.48 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, surged by 2.37 per cent to 5,046.86 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 2.11 per cent to 5,003.95 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, soared by 1.96 per cent, to 12,710.24 points.
- The EGX100 index jumped by 2.06 per cent, to 17,561.51 points.
The total market cap reached 3,230,417,803,268 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 4,548,836,925 Egyptian pounds and 6,662,555,060 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Egyptians were net buyers with 11,211,391,985 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Egypt for Poultry went up by 19.88 per cent to 7.720 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Fawry For Banking Technology And Electronic Payment rose by 8.01 per cent to close at 18.750 per cent a share.
- The shares of Lecico Egypt jumped by 7.95 per cent, closing at 25.670 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
- The shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging dropped by 5.71 per cent to 103.330 Egyptian pounds at closing.
- The shares of Concrete Fashion Group For Commercial& Industrial Investment fell by 4.17 per cent to close at 0.115 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing sank by 3.57 per cent, closing at 9.460 Egyptian pounds a share.
