Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 climbed 2.93 per cent to 47,772.74 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 surged 1.81 per cent to 4,996.93 points.
- The index EGX35-LV gained 0.52 per cent to 5,286.91 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 added 0.98 per cent, to 12,639.82 points.
- The EGX100 index inched up by 1.11 per cent, to 17,704.36 points.
The total market cap reached 3,270,149,790,981 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with a total of 58,784,968,145 pounds, and 3,563,352,914 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 62,348,321,059 pounds
Top gainers
- The shares of Prime Holding went up by 10.38 per cent to 2.020 pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center rose by 8.75 per cent to close at 46.970 pounds a share.
- The shares of Amer Group Holding jumped by 6.74 per cent, closing at 1.900 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Alexandria Mineral Oils Company dropped by 7.95 per cent to 8.570 pounds a share.
- The shares of Misr Chemical Industries fell by 7.63 per cent to close at 35.100 pounds a share.
- The shares of Samad Misr -EGYFERT sank by 5.49 per cent, closing at 176.800 pounds a share.
