Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed green on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.31 per cent, to 46,048.69 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, advanced by 0.01 per cent, to 4,882.19 points.
- The EGX35-LV index climbed by 1.15 per cent to 4,774.85 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70, leaped by 0.97 per cent to 12,718.19 points.
- The EGX100 index rose by 0.77 per cent to 17,223.96 points.
The total market cap reached 3,131,572,253,219 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 101,609,806 Egyptian pounds and 4,426,763,959 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 4,528,373,765 Egyptian pounds.

- The shares of Macro Group Pharmaceuticals -Macro Capital went up by 19.44 per cent to 1.290 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical climbed by 17.91 per cent to 3.950 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Sinai Cement rose by 9.80 per cent to 64.560 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares Grand Investment Capital dropped by 3.44 per cent to 28.070 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Orascom Construction PLC sank by 2.77 per cent to 405.440 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Copper For Commercial Investment & Real Estate Development went down by 2.74 per cent to 0.320 Egyptian pounds a share.
