EGX closes in green on April 30

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed mixed on Wednesday.

  • The main index EGX30 went up by 0.26 per cent to 32,126.22 points.
  • The Shariah index EGX33 soared by 0.34 per cent to 3,313.49 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70 climbed by 1.08 per cent to 9,390.15 points.
  • The EGX100 index jumped by 0.72 per cent to 12,805.63 points.

Egypt’s cap market reached 2,281,869,188,311 Egyptian pounds.

The Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with 3,050,513,686 Egyptian pounds and 803,250,766 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers with a total of 3,853,764,451 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Thursday

  1. Egyptian for Tourism Resorts shares went up by 19.95 per cent to close at 9.440 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Al Tawfeek Leasing Company-A.T.LEASE shares rose by 10.44 per cent, closing at 5.500 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Orascom Financial Holding shares soared by 9.43 per cent, to close at 0.476 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Thursday

  1. El Kahera El Watania Investment shares went down by 8.85 per cent, closing at 27.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. October Pharma shares fell by 7.04 to close at 106.680 Egyptian pounds.
  3. Gogreen for Agricultural Investment shares dropped by 5.22 per cent to, closing at 1.270 Egyptian pounds.
