Egypt’s stock market (EGX) ended trading in the green area on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 surged 1.76 per cent to 35,949.12 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 gained 1.62 per cent to 3,544.81 points.
- The EGX35-LV index advanced 1.73 per cent to 3,902.71 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70 added 1.17 per cent to 10,623.85 points.
- The EGX100 index earned 1.19 per cent to 14,144.47 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,530,094,805,017 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 330,845,341 pounds and 233,425,797 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 564,271,138 Egyptian pounds.
Top Gainers
- Shares of Ferchem Misr Co. for Fertillisers and Chemicals jumped 16.17 per cent to 89.520 pounds a share.
- Shares of Edita Food Industries S.A.E climbed 12.58 per cent to 17.900 pounds a share.
- Shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment hiked 7.27 per cent to 1.180 pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Golden Coast Company dived 4.94 per cent to 2.500 pounds a share.
- Shares of North Cairo Mills sank 4.59 per cent to 92.880 pounds a share.
- Shares of A Capital Holding lost 3.89 per cent to 4.200 pounds a share.
