Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green zone on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 edged up 1.10 per cent to 38,101.96 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 surged 1.70 per cent to 3,921.27 points.
- The index EGX35-LV advanced 1.16 per cent to 4,347.28 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 1.52 per cent to 12,263 points.
- The EGX100 index gained 1.51 per cent to 16,075.14 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,764,539,099,902 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 93,294,855 pounds and 234,792,833 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Arabs were net sellers with a total of 328,087,689 pounds.
Top gainers
- Shares of Saudi Egyptian Investment & Finance soared 16.49 per cent to 189.000 pounds per share.
- Shares of Amer Group Holding jumped 10.32 per cent to 1.710 pounds per share.
- Shares of Mansourah Poultry climbed 8.13 per cent to 3.060 pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Copper for Commercial Investment and Real Estate Development sank 7.48 per cent to 0.990 pounds a share.
- Shares of Digitise for Investment and Technology dived 3.72 per cent to 7.760 pounds a share.
- Shares of Misr Beni Suef Cement dropped 3.13 per cent to 171.200 pounds a share.
