EGX closes in mixed notes on Sept 23
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed mixed on Monday, with the main index, EGX30 dipping by 0.05 per cent, to 31,022.54 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 fell by 0.18 to 2,973.67 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 surged by 1.10 per cent, to 7,314.28 points.
The index, EGX100 index added 0.79 per cent, to 10,417.14 points.
The total market capitalisation recorded 2,108,562,663,607 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 2,662,920,936 Egyptian pounds, and 53,873,262 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were sellers with 2,716,794,198 Egyptian pounds.
Top risers
- Shares of Cairo Educational Services (CAED.CA) jumped by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 29.700 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Sinai Cement (SCEM.CA)climbed by 20.00 per cent, to trade at the price of 37.680 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Delta For Printing & Packaging (DTPP.CA) soared by 19.99 per cent, to the purchasing price of 66.570 Egyptian pounds a share.

- Shares of El Ahram Co. for Printing And Packing (EPPK.CA) dived by 4.78 per cent, to close at 7.770 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of ARAB POLVARA SPINNING & WEAVING CO. (APSW.CA) sank by 4.65 per cent, to close at 9.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Osool ESB Securities Brokerage (EBSC.CA) shed by 4.51 per cent, to close at the price of 0.381 Egyptian pounds a share.
