Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down 1.04 per cent to 47,001.89 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.86 per cent to 4,945.65 points.
- The index EGX35-LV sank by 0.97 per cent to 5,295.39 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, fell by 0.92 per cent, to 12,706.78 points.
- The EGX100 index plunged by 0.87 per cent, to 17,722.36 points.
The total market cap reached 3,261,385,614,579 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with a total of 29,490,814,776 Egyptian pounds and 854,325,424 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 30,345,140,201 Egyptian pounds
Top gainers
- The shares of Nozha International Hospital went up by 5.48 per cent to 13.080 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Arabian Cement Company rose by 5.27 per cent to close at 49.380 per cent a share.
- The shares of Misr National Steel – Ataqa jumped by 5.26 per cent, closing at 8.800 Egyptian pounds.
To losers
- The shares of Al Tawfeek Leasing Company-A.T.LEASE dropped by 9.81 per cent to 4.870 Egyptian pounds at closing.
- The shares of Creast Mark For Contracting And Real Estate Development fell by 7.14 per cent to close at 0.611 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Osool ESB Securities Brokerage sank by 6.43 per cent, closing at 1.600 Egyptian pounds a share.
