The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in the red area on Sunday.
- The main index, EGX30, went down by 2.23 per cent to 40,898.15 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, fell by 1.57 per cent to 4,525.54 points.
- The EGX35-LV index dropped by 1.56 per cent, to 4,585.26 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 sank by 0.47 per cent to 17,343.7 points
- The EGX100 index slid by 0.03 per cent to 17,236.7 points.
Egypt’s cap market reached 2,959,400,721,350 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 93,852,762 Egyptian pounds and 43,626,426 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Arabs were net sellers with 137,479,188 Egyptian pounds.
Top Gainers
- The shares of Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical went up by 9.68 to close at 4.080 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Gogreen for Agricultural Investment soared by 9.35 per cent, closing at 2.690 per share.
- The shares of South Valley Cement went up by 8.84 per cent, to close at 9.360 Egyptian pounds per share.
Top Losers
- The shares Subscription Rights Of Copper For Commercial Investment&Real went down by 5.60 per cent, to close at 0.118 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Orascom Development Egypt sank by 5.28 per cent to close at 24.060 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of El Kahera Housing fell by 5.00 per cent closing at 2.470 Egyptian pounds a share.
