Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Sunday. The main index, EGX30 dropped by 2.92 per cent, to 28,503.63 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 fell by 3.13 to 2,705.23 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 sunk by 4.63 per cent, to 6,492.97 points.
The index, EGX100 index went down by 4.32 per cent, to 9,299.81 points.
The total market cap reached 1,946,372,645,970 Egyptian pound.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with 20,047,166 Egyptian pound, and 11,017,043,937 Egyptian pound, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 11,037,091,103 Egyptian pound.
Top gainers on Sunday
- The shares of Arab Cotton Ginning (ACGC.CA) rose by 5.45 per cent, to close at the price of 6.770 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of Remco for Touristic Villages Construction (RTVC.CA) climbed by 4.97 per cent, to trade at the price of 3.590 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of United Arab Shipping (UASG.CA) jumped by 4.97 per cent, to the purchasing price of 0.634 Egyptian pound a share.
Top losers on Sunday
- The shares of Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment (MENA.CA) fell by 9.04 per cent, to close at 1.610 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of Arab Real Estate Investment CO.-ALICO (RREI.CA) declined by 8.93 per cent, to close at 1.020 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of South Valley Cement (SVCE.CA) dropped by 8.18 per cent, to close at the price of 2.020 Egyptian pound a share.
