Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Tuesday. The main index EGX30 went down by 1.25 per cent, to 30,617.83 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 sunk by 1.11 per cent to 3,173.33 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 fell by 0.96 per cent, to 8,452.2 points.
The index, EGX100 index dropped by 1.05 per cent, to 11,619.78 points.
The total market cap reached 2,254,266,810,540 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with 4,856,188,321 Egyptian pounds, and 3,069,941,716 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, The Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 7,926,130,037 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Tuesday
- Atlas For Investment and Food Industries (AIFI.CA) shares climbed by 10.48 per cent, to close at 1.160 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Mohandes Insurance (MOIN.CA) shares jumped by 9.33 per cent, to close at 25.770 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Orascom Investment Holding (OIH.CA) shares surged by 7.23 per cent, to close at the price of 0.504 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Tuesday
- Kafr El Zayat Pesticides (KZPC.CA) shares declined by 8.40 per cent, to close at the price of 12.110 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Suez Canal Bank S.A.E (CANA.CA) shares fell by 7.64 per cent, to trade at the price of 24.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Acrow Misr (ACRO.CA) shares dropped by 6.59 per cent, to the purchasing price of 68.800 Egyptian pounds a share.
