Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in red on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
- The main index, EGX30 fell by 1.36 per cent, to 33473.77 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 1.14 per cent to 3470.37 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 declined by 0.46 per cent, to 10119.07 points.
- The index, EGX100 index went down by 0.61 per cent, to 13696.74 points.
The total market cap reached 2,377,390,886,795 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Egyptians were net buyers with 643,313,664 Egyptian pounds, and 729,431,158 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 1,372,744,822Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Monday
- Egyptians Real Estate Fund Certificates shares rose by 19.95 per cent, to close at the price of 15.030 Egyptian pounds a share.
- El Ezz Porcelain (Gemma) shares climbed by 15.66 per cent, to trade at the price of 37.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Samad Misr -EGYFERT shares jumped by 11.19 per cent, to the purchasing price of 207.610 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Monday
- Universal For Paper and Packaging Materials (Unipack) shares fell by 7.26 per cent, to close at 1.150 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Alexandria Pharmaceuticals shares declined by 6.28 per cent, to close at 547.710 Egyptian pounds a share.
- International Agricultural Products shares dropped by 5.80 per cent, to close at the price of 24.040 Egyptian pounds a share.
