Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in red notes on Tuesday, with the main index, EGX30 going down by 0.89 per cent, to 30,104.35 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 plummeted by 0.78 per cent to 2,913.36 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 fell by 0.96 per cent, to 7,071.56 points.
The index, EGX100 index dropped by 1.02 per cent, to 10,076.87 points.
The total market capitalisation recorded 2,054,525,049,543 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with 9,025,936,055 Egyptian pounds, and 5,949,839,256 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were buyers with a total of 14,975,775,311 Egyptian pounds.

- The shares of of Egyptian Arabian Company Themar for Securities Brokerage SAE (EASB.CA) climbed by 20.00 per cent, to close at 5.220 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of National Housing for Professional Syndicates (NHPS.CA) jumped by 20.00 per cent, to close at 52.810 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Grand Investment Capital (GRCA.CA) surged by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 9.720 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top fallers
- The shares of Egyptian Gulf Marseilia For Real Estate Investment (MAAL.CA) sank by 10.15 per cent, to close at the price of 3.010 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Arab Developers Holding (ARAB.CA) dived by 7.89 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.420 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of El Kahera Housing (ELKA.CA) shed 6.31 per cent, to the purchasing price of 1.930 Egyptian pounds a share.
