EGX closes lower on Monday

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) concluded Monday’s trading session on a negative note, with the main EGX30 index falling by 2.46 per cent to 28556.28 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 2.52 per cent to 3007.64 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 shrank 1.93 per cent, to 7996.23 points.

The index, EGX100 index decreased by 1.88 per cent, to 11012.22 points.

The total market capitalisation recorded 2,126,787,731,981 Egyptian pounds.

Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 3,708,115,766 pounds. On the other hand, the Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 1,439,569,117 pounds and 2,268,546,649 pounds, respectively.

Top Gainers

  1. Shares of Ceramic & Porcelain soared by 10.52 per cent, to close at the price of 10.930 pounds a share.
  2. Shares of Concrete Fashion Group For Commercial & Industrial Investment climbed by 5.71 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.148 pounds a share.
  3. Shares of Egyptian Financial & Industrial jumped by 3.70 per cent, to the purchasing price of 161.310 pounds a share.

Top Losers

  1. Shares of Digitize for Investment And Technology dived by 13.92 per cent, to close at 2.660 pounds a share.
  2. Shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool fell by 13.07 per cent, to close at 26.730 pounds a share.
  3. Shares of El Arabia for Land Reclamation sank by 10.20 per cent, to close at the price of 68.380 pounds a share.
