Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed mostly in red notes on Monday, with the main index, EGX30 going down by 0.27 per cent, to 30,925.29 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 dipped by 0.02 per cent to 3,255.43 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 slightly rose by 0.08 per cent, to 8,718.95 points.
The index, EGX100 index decreased by 0.02 per cent, to 11,975.33 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,278,867,366,146 Egyptian pounds.
Non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 2,971,262,524 Egyptian pounds.
Meanwhile, Egyptians and the Arabs were net buyers with 2,161,540,192 Egyptian pounds and 809,722,333 Egyptian pounds, respectively.
Top gainers
- Shares of Delta For Printing and Packaging (DTPP.CA) jumped by 18.10 per cent, to close at the price of 74.310 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Arab Valves Company (ARVA.CA) climbed by 10.10 per cent, to trade at the price of 6.650 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of United Housing and Development (UNIT.CA) surged by 8.90 per cent, to the purchasing price of 7.100 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of Samad Misr -EGYFERT (SMFR.CA) dived by 5.39 per cent, to close at 92.570 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Egyptians For Investment & Urban Development (EIUD.CA) sank by 5.02 per cent, to close at 0.303 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Egyptian Real Estate Group (AREH) plunged by 4.41 per cent, to close at the price of 0.737 Egyptian pounds a share.
