Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up by 0.22 per cent to 49,739.03 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 surged by 0.43 per cent to 5,111.53 points.
- The index EGX35-LV climbed by 0.04 per cent to 5,013.89 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 dropped by 0.14 per cent to 12,770.01 points.
- The EGX100 index fell by 0.16 per cent to 17,661.76 points.
The total market cap reached 3,250,015,881,340 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 2,343,821,822 pounds and 13,028,712,724 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers with 15,372,534,545 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Egypt for Poultry went up by 12.53 per cent to 10.420 pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptians For Investment & Urban Development rose by 9.22 per cent to close at 0.746 pounds a share.
- The shares of Ibnsina Pharma jumped by 8.14 per cent, closing at 12.750 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Raya Holding For Financial Investments dropped by 5.27 per cent to 4.670 pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment fell by 4.19 per cent to close at 88.060 pounds a share.
- The shares of Prime Holding sank by 4.13 per cent, closing at 2.090 pounds a share.
