EGX closes mixed on April 7

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Monday.

The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.61 per cent, to 30,453.94 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 0.51 per cent to 3,182.02 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.79 per cent, to 8,717.11 points.

The index, EGX100 index jumped by 0.51 per cent, to 12,002.08 points.

The total market cap reached 2,163,422,785,808 Egyptian pounds.

The Arbs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with 153,533,450 Egyptian pounds, and 26,452,062,872 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net buyers with 26,605,596,322 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Monday

  1. El Obour Real Estate Investment shares rose by 12.58 per cent, to close at the price of 11.990 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Sinai Cement shares climbed by 10.22 per cent, to trade at the price of 39.240 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment shares jumped by 9.14 per cent, to the purchasing price of 20.420 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Monday

  1. General Silos & Storage shares fell by 10.13 per cent, to close at 151.120 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Misr Oils & Soap shares declined by 5.40 per cent, to close at 60.270 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Gadwa For Industrial Development shares dropped by 3.98 per cent, to close at the price of 5.310 Egyptian pounds a share.
