Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in mixed on Sunday. The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.22 per cent, to 30,073.95 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 jumped by 0.54 to 2,863.37 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 climbed by 1.15 per cent, to 6,979.77 points.
The index, EGX100 index soared by 1.02 per cent, to 9,981.84 points.
The total market cap reached 2,068,544,019,015 Egyptian pound.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with 30,206,824 Egyptian pound, and 2,808,159 Egyptian pound, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 33,014,983 Egyptian pound.
Top gainers
- The shares of Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment (ANFI.CA) rose by 19.96 per cent, to close at the price of 11.420 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Spinning & Weaving (SPINALEX) (SPIN.CA) climbed by 19.93 per cent, to trade at the price of 6.860 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of Misr Beni Suef Cement (MBSC.CA) jumped by 12.24 per cent, to the purchasing price of 45.860 Egyptian pound a share.
Top losers
- The shares of QALA For Financial Investments (CCAP.CA – CCAPP.CA) fell by 6.70 per cent, to close at 2.090 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of Sinai Cement (SCEM.CA) declined by 5.61 per cent, to close at 33.510 Egyptian pound a share.
- The shares of Lotus For Agricultural Investments And Development (LUTS.CA) dropped by 5.49 per cent, to close at the price of 0.379 Egyptian pound a share.
