EGX closes mixed on Dec. 11

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Wednesday. The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.40 per cent, to 30,739.26 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33, sunk by 0.03 per cent, to 3,172.35 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 jumped by 0.81 per cent, to 8,520.61 points.

The index, EGX100 index climbed by 0.50 per cent, to 11,677.75 points.

The total market cap reached 2,260,493,012,596 Egyptian pounds.

The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with a total of 4,438,928,928 Egyptian pounds and 10,663,645,926 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 15,102,574,854 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Wednesday

  1. Extracted Oils (ZEOT.CA) shares rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 3.840 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries (NIPH.CA) shares climbed by 20.00 per cent, to trade at the price of 63.720 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Memphis Pharmaceuticals (MPCI.CA) shares jumped by 12.93 per cent, to the purchasing price of 57.900 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Wednesday

  1. Upper Egypt Flour Mills (UEFM.CA) shares fell by 5.78 per cent, to close at 270.470 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. For Securities&Bonds Brok. EAC (EASB.CA)  shares dropped by 4.32 per cent, to close at the price of 4.430 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Gadwa For Industrial Development (GDWA.CA) shares declined by 3.43 per cent, to close at 4.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
