Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed mixed on Wednesday, with the main index, EGX30 falling by 0.13 per cent, to 29,292.05 points.
On the contrary, the small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 surged by 1.15 per cent, to 7,744.98 points.
The index, EGX100 index also inched up by 0.85 per cent, to 10,721.2 points.
The total market cap reached 2,087,309,413,699 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and non-Arabs foreigners’ transactions were mainly buying with a total of 548,988,557 Egyptian pounds, and 6,643,010 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with 555,631,566 Egyptian pounds.

The shares of El Ezz Porcelain (Gemma) (ECAP.CA) rose by 19.99 per cent, to close at the price of 34.210 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of A Capital Holding (ACAP.CA) climbed by 19.97 per cent, to trade at the price of 1.664 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of Gharbia Islamic Housing Development (GIHD.CA) jumped by 19.97 per cent, to the purchasing price of 33.820 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
The shares of Egyptian Arabian (cmar) Securities Brokerage EAC (EASB.CA) fell by 9.23 per cent, to close at 5.310 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of Arabian Food Industries DOMTY (DOMT.CA) declined by 6.12 per cent, to close at 17.790 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of General Company For Land Reclamation, Development & Reconstruction (AALR.CA) dropped by 5.28 per cent, to close at the price of 57.070 Egyptian pounds a share.
