Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Thursday. The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.40 per cent, to 30,010.62 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.03 per cent to 3,176.16 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 fell by 0.51 per cent, to 8,551.9 points.
The index, EGX100 index sunk by 0.31 per cent, to 11,698.14 points.
The total market cap reached 2,229,764,380,460 Egyptian pounds.
The Arabs and Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers with a total of 171,556,124 Egyptian pounds, and 416,103,105 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Egyptians were buyers with 587,659,229 Egyptian pounds.
Risers on Thursday
- The Egyptian Company for Construction Development-Lift Slab shares rose by 17.68 per cent, to close at the price of 0.739 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Lotus For Agricultural Investments And Development shares climbed by 12.23 per cent, to trade at the price of 0.725 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Arabian Cement Company shares jumped by 10.27 per cent, to the purchasing price of 20.070 Egyptian pounds a share.
Fallers on Thursday
- Arab Developers Holding shares fell by 7.28 per cent, to close at 0.395 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Suez Canal Bank S.A.E shares declined by 6.19 per cent, to close at 16.680 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Northern Upper Egypt Development & Agricultural Production shares dropped by 5.02 per cent, to close at the price of 2.460 Egyptian pounds a share.
